About Greenville, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Greenville, South Carolina serves as the seat of Greenville County. This city was home to about 68,300 people as of 2017 estimates, making it the sixth largest city in South Carolina by population. Greenville is located halfway between Charlotte, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia along I-85, and from 2015 to 2016, it was one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. Once known as “The Textile Capital of the World”, the city’s economy has become more diverse in modern times, and educational institutions like Furman University, Greenville Technical College, and North Greenville University are now found here.

Greenville is a popular tourist stop in South Carolina, and there are many attractions found here. The Greenville Zoo is located in Cleveland Park, and the Roper Mountain Science Center is home to one of the largest refractor telescopes in the U.S. There are many event venues within the city limits, such as the Peace Center, Timmons Arena, and Bon Secours Wellness Arena. The city also hosts many unique festivals throughout the year, including Fall for Greenville, IMAGINE Upstate, Artisphere, and Euphoria Greenville.

Greenville is found in a humid subtropical climate zone, which is typical of the Piedmont region of South Carolina. For residents and visitors, this means cool winter months that are more comfortable than other parts of the U.S. The season is also relatively short, but locals still need to be concerned about freezing overnight conditions. The right furnace or heat pump can make a big difference in interior comfort and utility costs throughout the season.

As the summer months approach, Greenville residents should consider their home cooling needs and a maintenance appointment. Regularly maintained systems decrease the likelihood of a breakdown throughout the season. Summers in Greenville are hot and very humid, and there are many days where thermostat readings surpass 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Without the right home cooling systems, residents could be at risk for heat-related illnesses.
